Default B&M short shifter review!

cliff notes at bottom

A while back I noticed on B&M's website that they needed a rsx-s in order to use for R&D work to make a short shifter. At the time, i owned my revo ss and was quite happy with it. Although i'd had a few problems, it was quite a bit better than the neuspeed ss adapter. I sent in my stock shift assembly about 4 months ago hoping that B&M would be able to make a great SS for the RSX w/ perfect shift length and great feel(which is what B&M has made sure of on every other one of their SS assemblies) Many of my friend have B&M shifters on their car and they have never had one problem. So I was expecting the same, of course.

I recieved my assembly yesterday FINALLY! (nov 14, 2003). HOOLLLY MOTHER OF GOD! IT'S GORGEOUS. The first thing i noticed were the blue aluminum bushings that replace the factory rubber bushing...not neuspeed nor REVO include new bushings with their shifters, so not only does B&M include metal bushings, THEY ARE ANODIZED BLUE! Next thing i noticed was the blue aluminum shift pivot point. The ball at the center of the shifter that is plastic on the stock and on the revo one...which allows for flexing and mushy feeling has been replaced for an all aluminum ball that not only look sick, it makes the shifter feel great! The shifter itself is thicker than both stock and revo AND THE BRACKET!!! OMG! the bracket where one attaches the shift linkage is all aluminum as well and i can't describe it with words, but IT WILL NEVER SNAP OR BREAK!!!!!!! The shifter is also bent towards the driver a bit so that shifts are not only shorter, but closer to the driver.

I will attach pictures of this shifter on monday when i get home. PEOPLE! GET YOUR MONEY READY! this shifter is the ****! (this probably sounds like a damn advertisement, but it's not)
I'm soo excited that there is a shfter that i have ZERO problems with. Quality is INSANE! LOOKS GREAT! feels....SOO SHORT....NOT SLOPPY AT ALL...JUST PERFECT! sorry for the caps, but ya...this short shifter is PERFECT.

cliff notes: NEW B&M SHIFTER IS BETTER IMO THAN REVO AND NEUSPEED. It's leaps ahead in quality, feel, and looks. I bow down to the designers and the company for truly designing a shifter that is perfect
