Default Painting valve cover....steps?

Hey guys, i am looking to paint my valve cover myself, is there anything i need to know about steps to do this? or just un bolt it, paint it, and put it back? or what? thanks

strip the paint off first. then figure out whether or not you need to use a primer. i used VHT wrinkle paint that was self priming. apply paint, read directions on whether or not to apply one or more coats. let dry for a few hours or overnight. put back on motor.

the paint will cure while the motor is running.

well you should but ivee had mine off 5 times this year and i just ues gasket sealer around the cam caps...seems to work ..to over tightn it or you may get leaks

i've replaced mine once... just replace it if it looks like it needs to be replaced.
