Default H22A All-Motor Setups

For the all-motor ludes out there. What kind of setups are some of you running. I am hoping for some recomended parts. I was going to go all crower because I could get it at a good price. On the other hand, I have heard JUN parts perform exceptionally well.

Depends on how much you want to spend and how much HP is your goal as well as realiability.

For a nice street motor, if you can get Crower stuff for a good price, then I would do the following:

Port and Polished Head
Crower Springs
Crower Retainers
Crower Camshafts
Crower Adjustable Cam Gears
Crower Stainless Steel Valves
Stock Type S Block
Thinner Head Gasket

The above setup should hit over 215WHP.

Now, if you wanna spend more money on a built block,
Crower Rods and Forged Pistons

Um no it won't. And you left out the cams, even with cams it won't get that much power

Though I tend to agree, he does indeed have "Crower Camshafts."

Why would you got through the trouble of getting a type s block only to change out the pistons?

215 whp is harder than you think.

btw: 13.5:1 compression is a bad idea for a "Street car."

<---- put down closer to 230whp n/a

Given money and opportunity again, I think that yes, I could build an N/A H22 that would be killer like my other one.

My pic for a good street/strip setup?

Full Portflow head with all the goodies
WebCam custom grind on fresh cam cores
Block bored and sleeved to 89mm
Arias pistons 12.5:1 cr (13.5+:1 if you want a track car)
Saenz rods
AEM EMS... Hondata if you're broke
Quiafe
HyTech or SMSP header
CAI
Walbro or Holly 342-347 fp
AEM FPR on an AEM fuel rail
440cc injectors
NGK plugs... given
open exhaust, 2.5. No cat, no muffler, no test pipe. Dump it out the side before the rear wheel.

UR cam sprockets
UR aluminum flywheel
UR pully set
ACT extreme PP and 6 puck disk
MSD 6A
10mm plug wires

and the usual random stuff. You get the picture.

With all of that together and broken in: DYNO DYNO DYNO

Then you'd have a car you'd be happy with...unless you wanted to pass an emissions test. I live in Alabama, I don't worry about that.

That's my humble opinion on a nice setup.

edit, forgot injectors

Tuning is your friend. Hence "DYNO DYNO DYNO." You MUST have access to 93-94 octane though.

Gotta live on the edge if you want to be faster than anyone else.
