You need some type of metal shield over the cell.. I will look in my NHRA rule book tonight and let you know..

The cell must be completely sealed with .028 inch Alluminum or .032 inch Sheetmetal. Must have sealed trap door. I have a fuel cell for sale if interested james..... Ron

thanx for the info who did the block off for ya and did you have to cut your floor?also let me know the specs on that fuel cell(aluminum?size?outlet sizes?etc)and ill take some measurements and get back to ya thanxs

My rulebook isnt real clear on how to do this.. Does the metal need to be welded down or can it be bolted down..

I only had to cut the floor a little underneath because i chose to run the lines under the car instead of out the rear wall and throiugh the rear bumper. Its a 5 gallon cell. the outles sizes are -10AN (x2). Ill have the exact measurements later for you later on.. Also, if you buy the fuel cell, ill give you this plate and brackets i made to seal it because i dont use tit anymore, its all yers man...

Does the fuel pump have to be level with the fuel tank.. Im assuming it does since the pumps are gravity fed.. If you ran the lines from under the car where did you mount your fuel pump at..

I bolted the fuel pump to the drivers side framerail. There was only a very slight incline from the cell to the pump. It worked fine on my car for 6 months until i removed it.
