21st Century Insurance is WackK!
I can't beleave 21'st century insurance is so Wack!! These lowballin b*tches are only offering me $4100 for my ride (deemed TOTAL LOSS). And they supposably did a market research on 3 other "simular" vehicles in my area to come up with there conclution.
Let me lay this out for you guys. The bastards used:
1.) 94 civic dx coupe
150K $3419
2.) 93 civic dx sedan
109K $3961
3.) 94 civic (yet another) dx sedan
130K $4084
Now is this bull **** or what???
And after this guy tells me that this is what they came up with. I told him, "What about my aftermarket parts and unlisted items I have on my car?"
He tells me to fax him a copy of all the items I have to him with prices or receipts, which i did.
I tried calling him back to confirm and find out what the outcome is. He hasn't picked up his fone or replied back yet for 3 days now.
All I can say is that this company sucks *****!! I definitely would not go with them the next time around.
Oh btw, all my aftermarket parts, rims, etc. came out to be another wopping $2000.
We shall see what their answer is when I bitchslap them this monday with their inaccuracies.
Has anybody else had this happen to them?

Id on't know what you are complaining about, 4,000 for a 94 dx seems about right.
edit: o yea you gotta make sure you know the policy for aftermarket parts with your insurance company, i think some only cover up to a certain amount of money on aftermarket parts

i just went through all that crap a couple months ago when my del sol went bye bye.. they just compared it to a bunch of crappy del sols out there with some ugly exterior/interior (paint fades, rips/tears, cracks) conditions and high mileage (140k+).. mine was a 93' clean inside and out with only 80k miles... they tried to low ball me with like $3500.. i got them to $5400.. even though i was thinking about getting another car when that happened.. i miss my sol.. i had a b18c5 coming.. would have been a fun project.. but i guess it was on to better things...

Why are you whining? Go put your car and miles into KBB and see what the value is...its definitely not $4100 unless you have crazy low miles on the car...I honestly dont see what you're complaining about...
I just put it into KBB
93 Civic Si 2D
100000 Miles
Good Condition
$3280

yea i really dont see why you are complaining,...and was all your aftermarket parts included in your policy? like did you tell them you had this and that so that they would insure them? if not then you cant get jack **** for the aftermarket parts

My buddy has AAA and he's gotten his supra broken into so many times. He actually had a total of 2 claims I believe on his 95 si and 2 on his 94 supra. They credited him for ever penny of his aftermarket parts provided the proper receipts and paper documentation. I wonder how much he pays now for insurance ?

I don't see why you're complaining either.. you're getting more than the car's worth. if anything, get a little more money out of your mods and be happy with what you get
Well all im saying is that they should at least offer me $5000. If not I'm going to strip the whole car tomarrow.
I live in CA. around my neck of the woods, civic Si's are rare to find in excellent condition. They can still sell for $5000 or more easy (if clean like mine)

if I were you I'd be happy to get over blue book for the car alone. as for your mods.. that might net you the $5k you're looking for..
seriously though, they'll give you market value on a civic regardless of if its an Si or not. and you should be happy market value is as high as it is with the book value being so low. be happy you're getting more than 3g's

I have 21st. I asked them, how much they cover for rims, they said $1000 max.
How about a motor swap, They said nothing, you are on your own.
There is no 93 Civic HB Si going for 5gs in Cali!!!
If so I got a 95 Si for 6gs!!!!
Take what you got 21st is still good !!!!

plus you have to understand they are going to low ball you from the start. no matter if you have a civic or a mercedes. they are in the business of making money and keeping as much of it as possible. what you think because you've been with a company for 8 years or what ever that they will just sign the check right to you??? its all about money.
you have to calm down and approach the situtation like your at a dealership buying a new car. they give you a low ball, you show them proof that this car is worth more , buy buying an autotrader or recycler etc and show them what the average cost is. the more similiar cars you bring the more they know you are not going to get walked all over. send them print outs on kbb , and other websites, look at other dealerships that have a similiar car that they are selling on their lot, and keep calling him or the company. be persistant every chance you get not just when he calls you... and if he wont answer the phone he has a supervisor above him, and people below him that will get tired of talking to you and make him call you back...
also read what you policy will cover some do not cover aftermarket parts. does it suck having to do all this work, yes, but thats the price you pay of getting a car stolen, not sure how you had your security set up but, you might also think of getting a tracking device alarm. it could save you all this trouble in the future. but yet it will not gurantee the car wont be lost also...
just my .02 cents.

Your lucky to get that 4G's, they only blue book for that. My sol is in the shop and they didnt tottal it out an my damages excedded 3000, insurance is wack thouhg it took them 16 day to tell me the wreck wasnt my fault. BASTARDS!
And if you are that concerned, Jsut tell the insurance you want a REPLACEMENT NOT MONEY because MONEY ISNT AN ISSUE GETTING BACKTO NORMAL IS MORE IMPORTANT. That usually is easier for insurances to do and if they cant they will give you a better price for your car because they'll realize that your car isnt obtainable for the price they were gonna give you, dont go into the whole thing money hungry. Sorry forgot to ad that last post.

In your neck of the woods. Over here it's different. You can't really compare 2 totally different markets, and say they are the same.
Well anyhow, I will find out tomarrow what their new offer will be.
