How much more HP does it take to run 2sec. faster in 1/4mile?
Lets say you ran a 15.7 in the 1/4 mile.
Then how much horsepower is needed to run a 14.7 or better yet 13.7?
What do most of you turbo or Supercharger guys gain in HP & 1/4 mile times?

well, heres a quick response to that.
lets assume the prelude you are driving weighs 2800 lbs. the horsepower requirements are as follows
15.7 ~143 whp
14.7 ~174.22 whp
13.7 ~215.22 whp
those are basically estimations but should be around 5% accurate. obviously all power measurements are at the wheels. and weight does affect times, i'll do 3000 lbs just for the fun of it
15.7 ~153.22
14.7 ~186.66
13.7 ~230.59

someone used the 1/4 calculator hahah....those are kinda accurate....torque can affect everthing as well....with a turbo ur whole torque power band is changed almost
allmotor is almost flat and soo is a supercharger

right, those numbers are basically assuming that you don't have a radical race engine, and will be pretty close too. now naturally if you're running some really wild cams and have a different final gear then its going to throw things off, but for the most part i've found that to be pretty close.
Cool, exactly what I was lookn for..
my buddy is running a 14.4 in a Civic Si w/ Greddy Turbo kit. with crappy tires he's running on 7psi.
Since I have a Prelude Si - I should be putting around the same power down, but hella more torque.
I was thinkin, even with my automatic I should still hit high13's - low 14's

The only problem with a 1/4 calculator is it doesn't take into account of wheel spin. I spin first all the way through, second half way through, I bark third and fourth.... I imagine if I were to plug in my numbers in a damn calculator I should be hitting 12's or something.
