Default PLEASE help me out!

I have a 93 LX and i'm swapping in a 99 EX (i want vtec) lol and in a few months turbo hopfully if all goes to plans. But i'm having a very hard time on the wiring of a LX to EX. I understand i dont have some sensors that a EX has such as the extra O2 sensor, Vtec sensor etc. But what do i do to get them? what is the easiest way for me to fix this problem? do i buy a new wire harness from a EX or do i sorder those sensors into my harness? if so which is easier to do? i just need help. Thanks

get an ex engine with everything already included, like all the sensors, vtec soleniod, and wiring harness.

i dont know if the d16y8(96+ ex engine) engine harness will just plug into your stock plugs. is there a reason you are buying a d16y8 instead of a d16z6(92-95 sohc vtec). if you havent bought an engine yet, buy the z6, use the stock d16z6 engine harness, the p28 ecu ( 92-95 sohc vtec ecu) will plug right into your stock ecu plugs.... and then just run two wires from the engine to your ecu. one for the vtec solinoid.. and one for the positive on the vtec oil pressure switch. then ground the negative on the vtec oil pressure switch. bam.. your done.

if you have to do the y8... youll probably need to run the d16y8 ecu.. which is obd-2. then youll need an ecu conversion harness to go from obd-1 to obd-2. and i dont know if the obd-2 engine harness will just plug in the same as the z6. and i dont think a d16z6 engine harness will plug into everything on a y8.

all in all.... buy a d16z6 instead. as easy as a stock swap.. with 2 extra wires.
