Default what's involved with replacing pistons

I was wondering if it is possible to replace pistons without pulling out the motor and if possible not pulling the head either. I was thinking of removing the oil pan, and going from there. I kinda want to do the least amount of work possible (cause I'm lazy, and the less I do the less chance of me doing something wrong) I just want to know if it is possible and has it been done
Thanks

You have to pull your head in order to install the new pistons properly and remove the old ones. You can do so without pulling your motor, just be very careful when installing your new bearings.

I think i'd be more work to do it w/o pulling the motor. If you did do it w/o pulling the motor, u'd need a lift to really be able to get under the car w/o doing any damage
