Looking for 2" springs to mate with current suspension.
I just wanted some advice on spring rates and what brand of springs to go with.
Right now I am riding on a non adj spoon damper kit. I want to mate a set of 2" quality springs with the current suspension.
What brand, and what spring rates do you guys suggest?
I want a cross between nice handling, and straight line performance.

do you have a picture of the suspension setup? I'm not familiar with it, and i have no idea whether it will accept 2.5" (you'll need that instead of 2") ID springs.
You might want to contact spoon to see if the valving can handle the spring rates you're looking to put on them as well.

Are you sure you need 2.0 inch? They are quite uncommon and won't give you many option. I know Carrera used to make some but they weren't the highest on the quality meter but beggars can't be choosers. The common industry standard is 2.5 inch and 2.25 inch is less common but still available for cars that have space limiting issues (old formula cars, cars with tire clearance issues, etc.). I have not known a Honda related car to have spring space issues due to their placement on the car.
Thanks guys for the replies.. I will try and contact spoon directly and ask them..
Also thanks for the clarification of the sizes of springs..
As far as a picture.. They are currently on the car.. If you want I cant take a pic with them on the car?

Well you'd have to get the diameter of the shock body (use a dial caliper) and then call ground-control to see if they have any coil-over sleeves that will fit on there... since its spoon, i'd bet that whatever fits the stock shocks will fit on these.
With those stock spring perches, you are going to need stock wound spring tails or a drop-on coil-over sleeve system that will sit square and stable on the stock perch. Where did the 2 inch part come into the picture? There is a step missing.

Most of the guys on this board use coilover kits which allow you to set the height wherever you want... most will recomend ground control, I'll let Lee recomend the best spring rates for your setup. It might be easier for him (or someone else) to give recomendations if we know a little more about what you're doing with the car... mostly street? daily driver? Auto-x? HPDE? all out track *****?
First off you really needed to post that you were looking for 2" LOWERING springs.
Secondly, what springs do you have on the shocks now? I'll assume stock. So, what springs will fit? Any spring designed as a stock replacement for your car.
Rates for a daily driver? Stock
Rates for Drag Racing? Ask drag racers
Rates for "Twisties"? Don't even bother asking that question here and I'll pretend that I didn't see that in your post.

I didn't realize that the 2 inches was the lowering goal instead of the inside diameter. Sorry for having a one track mind but the phrasing let me the wrong way.
There are so many variations in spring rates that people are using these days that it is hard for me at a distance to suggest specific spring rates if street use is going to be your primary function. I am not a fan of the new Civic/RSX suspension either on the front or rear as there are multiple issues that are caused by Hondas selections.
My suggestion would be to contact Ground Control and discuss with them your goals and needs. I would not recommend lowering the car at all below 20 inches as the various bad issues get complicated even more when you lower it, not to mention that that car doesn't have much extra compression travel to take away without several complications. Call GC and see what they say in the name of general all around performance use.
