Default new harness with new headlight bulbs?

I just got some motion r 6000k headlights, they are 9004. I was reading the site info, it says that the bulbs won't melt my harness. What do you guys think? Should I go ahead and cut and replace my wire harness, or be kool with it?
btw it is a nice bright blue for some 9004 bulbs.

get rid of those bulbs. they wont necessarily melt the harness, but they could burst/explode int he headlight assembly costing more in time and money.
just do the 9005 conversion. info on that can be had if you sarch.
6000k headlights that are 9004?

ugh that's a 9005 to 9006 conversion, mine is 9004. How would they explode, are they made bad?

Let me tell you about 9004 bulbs. Unfortunately USDM G2 Integras are cursed with these horrible things, just like what my old 89 Camry used. The low beams are a pitiful 45W and put out barely 700 lumens (compared to 1700+ lumens for a 9005 high beam bulb).

Now that 700 is for a plain clear stock bulb. When you start putting blue coatings on it (and it takes ALOT of blue coating to get a 6000K color temp out of a halogen bulb ) then I would be surprised if those bulbs put out any more than 500 lumens on the ground. In the city you won't even be able to tell that your headlights are on, as the streetlights will put more light on the ground than your headlights will.

Now if those 9004's you got are high wattage, then you've got different problems. Sure they might put out more than the stock 700 lumens, but you run the risk of burning up your headlight harnesses AND the switch on the steering column (since Honda headlights don't use relays).

Okay so you could buy or make new harnesses that run off the battery and use relays, problem solved right? Wrong. Those high wattage bulbs put out TONS more heat than stock bulbs, which will end up melting connectors, possibly even warping the whole headlight housing.

If you want improved lighting, get some J-spec 1-piece headlights w/ H4H bulbs. The H4H bulbs are a bit hard to find and expensive in this country (options sells them for around $30 each I think) but it's really the best option you have short of custom-fitting an HID setup.
