Default N/A Setup for JDM R Motor

Given 2k - $2500

Can you please give me your suggestions in what you would do, what brand name parts you would go with? I am looking so with all these mods I can hit 12's all motor and still be streetable. I have read past posts on people favoring the Todas and Juns, but which one is better? Wat about internals and valve train which brand are reputable that are the best? Thank You

My current mods so far:

96 JDM R Motor
96 JDM R Tranny
I/H/E
Carsound Cat
Spoon ECU
Apexi V-AFC
AEM Fuel Rail & AEM FPR

given 2 -2.5 K i don't think you could hit 12s and be streetable, those cams (todaB's, C's and JUN 3's) all require high(er than stock) compression and a very free flowing IM, a good port & polish on the head, valvetrain, header,cat/test pipe and exhaust, custom ecu, lots of dyno - my guess is at LEAST 5 grand (all on the motor basically) - not including all the labor and dyno time - don't get me wrong - you'll still have a fast car but not that fast - my guess is Lip spent more close to 10 grand on his all motor set-up (don't know but he may have done some work himself), doubt it would pass emissions (guess), in states that test (in Cali you'd be in some serious trouble w/emissions). BTW - I am not trying to shoot you down - just being honest, not to mention stereo, suspension, rims, brakes, etc not included - what I/H/E combo are you running, I don't know if the spoon ECU would work well with a All Out N/A setup

Well first off my compression is at 11:1, I currently don't pass smog anyways due to my motor being a JDM R motor so it doesn;t matter to me as of right now. As stated in my first post I have AEM CAI, JDM 4-1 Header, Carsound Cat, Apexi N1 Catback Exhaust, V-AFC, AEM FPR & Fuel Rail, & Skunk 2 Cam Gears

Spoon does work well with N/A setup.

Most of the work I plan and intend to do myself, such as installation of cams, retainers ect. Only thing that I will spend on having done professionally is port polish and dyno, other then that I feel that I am mechanically inclined in doing.

I already have a decent suspension setup:
Eibach Ground Controls w/ KYB AGX Shocks
ITR 22mm Sway Bar
Nuespeed Lower Rear Tie Bar & Upper Front Tie Bar
96 JDM R Tranny w/ LSD

serenity- Do you lose any bottom end with the jdm 4-1 and just your basic mods? I want to get a jdm 4-1, and i only have i/e. I hear i will lose alot of bottom end, but i may recover some on a nearly stock motor if i get a vtec controller and move the vtec crossover to like 5700. How is your setup, what is vtec set at, and what does the power band feel like? Im just worried about losing power. Thanks alot.
