Default how do they sound? spoon vs magnaflow sound clip inside

for people who are wondering, here are the vids. both exhaust have months miles on them. vid was taken about 4-5 ft away and both revving to 4k rpm. blue si's exhaust setup:
jdm header, carsound cat, tanabe hyper medallion b pipe, spoon N1 axle back.
http://www.we-todd-did-racing....DE%3D
my setup (hatch):
spoon header, carsound cat, T1r b pipe w/ bottleneck removed, custom 2.5 axle back pipe w/ magnaflow muffler.
http://www.we-todd-did-racing....DE%3D

spoon n1 sounds really nice but too loud for my taste. the magnaflow setup sounds a lot quieter and still deep even the owner of the Si likes my setup a lot

That magnaflow sounds sexy! I love that rumble when the revs are dropping.

gotta love that magnaflow sound. that SI's magnaflow exhaust needs to be lowered or away from that poor bumper though. it looks like it's gonna cook the bumper soon.

im using a magnaflow muffler and resonator with full 2.5 inch mandrel bent piping from the header back with a high flow carsound cat. it sounds great and gives a very throaty sound to it. i had it without the resonator for a while and it sounds so much better with it on now than before. it used to have that rasspy nastyness to it now it is way more baratone (how do you spell that) anyways thats my stuff

Just curious man, with your setup does your car drone on the freeway?

Hey, how about someone start an exhaust sound thread, I don't know, would that be something everyone would be interested in? Or is it just my Ricey ***?

This has been tried a million times and has never really caught on. For what it's worth here are a few of mine.

I wouldn't say it drones. It is noticeable but not annoying loud or anything. I've rode in a few cars where the exhaust hits that one frequency on the freeway that seems to be overly loud and drown things out but mine doesn't do that.

It seems that when ever you are keeping a fairly constant speed it is pretty quiet. Even at like 80 as long as your foot isn't all the way in it, it stays pretty quiet. Just real deep.

I had the same magnaflow catback for all of a month. Got rid of it because I couldn't handle the drone on my drive to work. It was pretty loud between 2.5k-4k rpm.

my setup is actually quiet @ low rpms. i specially like it when crusing on the freeway because i dont have to turn the radio up just to overcome the loud drone. its not annoying at all
