Default Update on Dart 2.1L Talldeck

Very slowly, but moving right along now: I hope to drop it in R over thanksgiving.

I tried to do a search but couldn't find anything. What's so great about a DART block? Can somebody link me to some info?

http://www.dartheads.com/hsbalum.htm

It's a much stronger block than an OEM Honda block, can take a lot of boost.

This is just one thread, i just did a search on dart block and it turned up 35 threads, with much good info Remember to search under"archived" content

its most likely boosted because those pistons dont look like high cr

they look coated too

he prolly shootin for 260+whp

considering 240 is kinda easy now

N/A set-up, The flat top pistons are because it is a talldeck block with a 95mm crank. Will still be 11:5.1 Cr with B16A head.

Looking Great! what kind of torque numbers are you expecting?

One question though,

Whatever happened to the talk about TI retainers failing prematurely and not being a very good idea for street/daily driven cars?

Were these just rumors that were simply untrue? Does anyone have any facts as far as TI being a good choice for a high mileage motor?

Everything that I can remember about TI retainers is to inspect them regularly as they are "said" to wear quicker in some situations.
