If by "anything like that" you mean road racing/autocross, you might be in the wrong forum (since this is...um...the road racing/autocross forum and all).

what was the point of this reply??? If you dont have a answer to my post then dont replyplease. I came in here because peolpe who do"road racing/autocross know a great deal about susp. and brakes since that is 2 of the most important things in road racing/autocross correct me if i am wrong! But then again you are probably one of many people on thios web site that know everything about cars, right!!!!
well i thought the point of a web fourm is to share ideas and to ask question, i must be wrong. I did a search and i came up with some ideas but nothing that was in my price range. I was not wanting to spend more than $500.
I upgraded my brakes on a relatively tight budget for my talon street/autox car. Got ss brake lines, oem size slotted rotors and Axxis Ultimate pads. The difference was night and day and my car went from having its brakes as its weakest point, to making it one of its strongest areas. With these pads especially, the car really take advantage of its stock twin piston calipers.

Basically it is necessary to know something about the car and it's intended usage to answer questions on brakes. We could recommend the standard race pad of Hawk Blues, but if your intended use is street, it will destroy the rotors in a few hundred miles at most and will cover the wheels in very corrosive dust.
Of course if your intended usage is street racing, you really came to the wrong place.

We can't answer your question because you didn't give us anything to go on. You didn't tell us anything about why you need to upgrade your brakes, what your current setup is doing (or not doing) that requires a change, and what you intend to accomplish with the new setup. Were we supposed to guess?

But outside of autocross and road racing, that doesn't help you much now does it?

Knowing everything is not as important as knowing where and how to ask...

I agree with Hracer. Get some Axxis Ultimates. They are a fine street pad. I don't think you need anything more for street use, and they'll even serve you well for your first few events if you do decide to get into autocrossing or track days.
1 - yes this is the wrong forum for asking about things for a purely street application. But do what Alex (Hracer) said.
2 - Just becuase its the wrong place... you guys can be a little less abrasive about it.
Carry on.
