Default removing front splash sheild

Is it a good idea to remove this front splash sheild? Have any of you done it?

why?

I trimmed mine down a bit.. didn't remove it all the way.

It won't necessarily hurt anything by doing so, but you'll end up with a grimy *** engine bay after driving through a couple of rainstorms. I'd leave it on, IMO.

Well there's no reason to take it off unless you have to. Just like Dr.Feelgood said if you take it off and drive in some rainstorms, it will surely dirty your engine bay.

what do you mean by trim it down?? what exactly did you trim? any pics would really great, im just thinking it might get in the way when add the intercooler for the turbo im planning on getting.

The backend of it got fucked up when I ran over some road kill or something. It wouldn't reattach correctly so I broke out the zizwheel and cut whatever was hanging off. For the most part it's still on there, like where the exhaust manifold is. But yes, my engine bay gets dirty as hell now. So I have to clean that out once a month too.
