Default Loss of oil?

Every 3-4 days, I am about 1.5qt low on oil. I just built my B18C5 using the parts in my signature. I drive about 50 highway miles to and from work every day. I drive at about 80 mph which puts me at about 4800-5000 rpm's because of my JDM 4.785 FD. I am also using the plain Castrol 5W30. Compression and leakdown numbers are fine. It does not blow any smoke out the exhaust. The only thing I can think of is that the oil is vaporizing vrom cruising to and from work at such a high rpm.

Anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

</TD></TR></TABLE> if hes breaking it in then synthetic is not what he wants.but yeah a heavier oil might help. i would stay on top of it until you think the rings should be seated..switch to synthetic and recheck.if it doesnt improve.i dunno......note I use Royal Purple synthetic and burn half as much as i did with castrol syntec.just food for thought................john

how's the Endyn can working? I'm wondering if that might have a small part to contribute to the consumption? I agree that the mid RPM drive may be another aspect of the issue. A higher weight oil may help reduce the overall consumption, but will it really provied you with the overall answer you are looking for? We know the motor is good, and put together correctly, so that shouldn't be much of a concern here.. right?

I really don't think that the Endyn Breather Kit has anything to do with the oil consumption.
