Anyone in the Vinyl printing business? (yeah OT, sorta)
looking to get info on how pricy printing vinyl graphics are. like if i had a picture file, how can i get it printed on adhesive vinyl?
you can read the post i attempted to get some info from the "appearance" forum first, no surprise it resulted in little intelligent help.

Virtually all of the 1-day sign shops do this. The local Fast Signs does our numbers and other items. Pricing: You are charged based on size and number of colors and the local labor rates in the field. They will take you image or other graphics and use that for their printer/plotter machine. We spec 3M low tack adhesive backed stock-so we can take off and/or reposition. A company near Pittsburgh called GT Graphics does whole car packages very similar to the shops in Charlotte that do the NASCAR teams work. Hope these sources can help you.
as was mentioned, the local Fast Signs will do this for you. It is best if you have an EPS file (postscript) as these will scale better. I have my avatar on my truck (with a Mad Frog Racing lettering), about 8"X10" and that cost $80. They used cut vinyl for the lettering, and a sticker for the drawing. Came out nicely, but it is fairly pricey.
Check out http://www.decaldood.com, friend of mine and does good work!
