Default greddy e-manage or Hondata?

I was talking to the shop i go to and I am setting up to get a greddy turbo kit for my 00 LS, he recommends using the programmer that comes with the greddy kit, but I have read all these post here on HT saying that Hondata is better? Any other Ideas, its gonna be for a daily driver so reliability is a huge factor.

Get hondata and have it tuned by a professional. Thats the only way to have your FI set up run correctly...the greddy e-manage just costs too much! Do some research, either type in hondata under the search function (you'll find hundreds of threads) or you can visit them at http://www.hondata.com

I think maube he is talking about the greddy blue box that comes with the kit. I think you should run the blue box.. That will be enough

I believe he is talking about the blue box as well. Hondata is far superior to the blue box IF you have a good tuner.

yea Im sorry I did mean the blue box that comes with the greddy kit. Im just worried about not finding a good hondata tuner, and Ive also heard that they are not good for daily drivers. BTW this is my daily driver so I want the most reliable setup possible.

I'm sure you'll be able to find a good Hondata tuner in the Chi-town area. You may want to ask in the F/I forum. Hondata is very good for a daily driver car, better than the blue box. BUT, only if you have a good tuner.

Something else to think about, you can always install the turbo kit and run off the blue box, until you find a good tuner. It will still be a very safe and reliable setup.

If you have the cash for it... go Hondata all the way. Their ecu programs make significant gains.
