i live in norcal and i am getting an h22 complete changeover. i was originally looking for a usdm engine, but nobody seems to have them. i can get my hands on a jdm swap with no problems. i am am not sure if the jdm engine will pass a smog test. people say u can make them pass but u have to mess around with it to get it right. can anyone help me

 

I got fed up looking for an H22 to put in my 92 Prelude S...

You should be fine with the JDM engine as far as smog testing, as far as I know.

It could be different since you're in Cali... but Seattle is fairly strict too.

my JDM H22A passed smog with no problems, it was stock at the time though, I took it in with a stock airbox along with everything else stock. I live in Southern California by the way.

 

my jdm h22 also passed with no problems. and it wasn't stock, i had a intake and exhaust on it. it passed with great numbers too, nowhere near the limit.

 

i was wondering this too since i'm in GA, good info
