IACV....are d and b-series the same?
i just found out the hard way that not even all b series are the same. so the answer is no. as for price of a new one check http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com
here is a pic of b-series ones, the last one is a non-vtec.
I'm pretty sure that all vtec ones are the same and non-vtecs are different; dont know about d-series though

They are not all the "SAME", but they are all INTERCHANGEBLE from 88-00 ZC/D/B-Series and will work. Trust me. The only one that will not work is the 96-00 DX/CX/LX Civic and 96-00 Auto Civic.

This is just an obvious statement, but what actually matters most is the mounting holes. Notice how all of the IACV's from left to right, minus the very last one, have the same exact mounting hole positions (far apart), whereas the very last one's mounting holes are positioned closer to each other.
Like some of the guys said above already, most of the 88-95 civic and 88-00 integra IACV's are interchangeable, ya just need to keep an eye on the mounting holes. All 96-00 civic non-EX or non-SI models have a totally different IACV which are actually integrated into the throttlebody....and pretty much sucks too! EX/Si models use the closer-mounting hole type IACV just like the D16Z6+ITR IACV.
Something that's cool is how , for instance, Skunk2's line of intake manifolds have IACV mounting points for both types of IACV's.
Below, I'm guessing the IACV w/white plug is either from an 88-91 civic or 92-95 CX

i was total that not only are the mounting points different, but also that the # of pulses that it sends to the ECU are different....ie, some send 2 pulses per second, some send 3, etc....

perhaps for other non-civic & integra IACV's, but I really don't think that matters as all of the civic/integra IACV's are pretty much interchangeable depending on what intake manifold you end up using, and any should work without problems if they're in good condition.

The far right IACV with the narrower bolt pattern uses two long bolts instead of a long bolt and short bolt.
The top hole is the normally the one that gets the short bolt on the wider bolt pattern IACV's.
The one from my '95 GS-R is the same as the 3rd one from the left w/ the 90 degree elbow nipple.

I have a question a IACV. I was told that mine is the problem. I have a 90integra and I also have a old hf manifold in me garage. Physically they are the same size but the integra has a smaller hole and screen over the hole that goes into the intake. Is it ok to swap these?
