CRX and Civic headlights. Differences?
OK I searched and didnt get a good answer so I am starting a new thread to get all the answers in one place.
OK I know that the 88/89 CRX/Civic headlights are slightly different cause of the corner lights than the 90/91 CRX/Civic's.
Now what I want to know is is there any difference between 88/89 CRX headlights and 88/89 Civic headlights?
And also is there any difference between 90/91 CRX headlights and 90/91 Civic headlights?
So basically could I take a 90/91 headlight from one and put it in the other with no mods and could I take a 88/89 headlights and put it in one or the other also with no mods?
I am more worried about the differences between 90/91 CRX and Civic headlights but I figured might as well get everything in one post for all the years.
I have heard that the mounting brackets are different between CRX's and Civic's can anyone confirm or deny this? I have also read that 89 CRX headlights bolt right onto 90 Hatches? I also read that as long as you stay among the years that CRX/Civic headlights are the same??

All headlights are the same, its the mounting brackets that are different so if you want you can put 90/91 headlights into your 88-89 if you use your old brackets.
And yes the 88/91 civic/crx's are all the same.

OK so then there wouldnt be any difference between 90/91 CRX headlights and 90/91 Civic headlights is that what your saying?
I know about the brackets being different and about swapping between 88/89's and 90/91's but I just didnt know about the difference between CRX's and Civic's if any?

OK so then all the headlights themselves are the same.
So then the brackets ARE different between CRX's and Civic's and well between 88/89's and 90/91's also correct?
Anyone else verify this?

alright, I dont know for a fact, but I just checked hondaautomotiveparts.com, and the headlight housing/bracket is the same part number for an 88 crx as it is for an 88 hatch, part number 84697. Also, the 90 crx and 90 hatch have the same headlight housing. Part number 84698.
so in conclusion, according to hondaautomotivepart.com, yes, you can change the headlights between crx's and civics as long as they're an 88-89 and 88-89 or a 90-91 and 90-91.

Pretty much like everyone has said. All the headldigts between 88-91 are the same, its just the mounting braket that is different between 88-89 and 90-91 because of the corner lights.
