I had insurance replace mine twice, and my premium went up by about $200 every six months. Still cost less than buying them, but damn.
I don't believe insurance will replace them in all states. AL they won't FL they will, don't know about WI. If you only do it once, your rates shouldn't go up.

As far as cost, I think they are between $200-$300.

I know a guy who had a 6th gen windshield replaced and he paid ~$265. I think the people charged my insurance company ~$300, but I don't remember for sure.

Fl has free replacement for your car. just call your insurance and tell them. But i think that only applies to floridians.

Damn, Your premium goes up for a cracked window! Cali sucks in most departments, but as for insurance, I have had 3 windshields replaced here ( A lot of Big rigs and Logging trucks throwing up **** where I live ) and only pay my $50 comprehensive deductible everytime. AAA rocks

hmm, someone at a glass shop told me that the winshield is than the side and rear windows due to the fact that those are the windows that get broken the most.

xsists, I saw the news report and a website about the person in your avatar. That **** was funny as hell.

I got mind done at collisionworks.com talk to Vic the owner(located in Long Beach). at first I talked to one of the workers and they quoted me $175, I then told Vic that I'm going to another place cheaper. He then told me he'll do it for $140-his cost. the part looks just like the oem piece. He told me he stands by his work, I was refered to him by a friend who is a friend of him. BTW I wouldn't take to the dealer cost and labor is too high for me.
