that is a b series part going in a d series motor. most of the time that doesnt fly,but a few d and b series parts are interchangable. i just dont think any in the block are. b series are generally beefier. i could be wrong though, anyone else out there?

my thoughts also .. but he was jus talking about the rods and not the pistons .. i didnt knwo if they would be too long .. or what .. or how it would work ..hmm .. but would like to but stronger rods in ..

yes the b18a rods will work in the d16, just need to get them machined to take the d-series pistons...

do a search...there are so many topics on this subject...

No you can't. The B16 pistons are way bigger than ZC (or any other D-series) pistons.

Plus he's only asking about the rods. They will work, but like the post above said, you'll need to machine them to fit the D-series wrist pin.

yes you can use b16 pistons in a zc..i know this first hand..you have to bore your block to 82 mm ..you also have to use b-16 rods so that the length of the rods take up for the extra highth of the b16 pistons.dart sleves.

in order to do that you bored the block correct ?
think it would be a good idea to use stock pistons ?

thanx

the rods do fit, but you have notch the block! and you have to put a different bushing in them!
