Air temp was over 80 degrees and humidity was over 90%.
Avoid the water box on street tires. Before I staged I did an e-brake burn to heat the tires (rev to 7k and drop clutch). I was holding my revs between 5-5.5k. I launch by slipping the clutch a little at first then coming off it almost all the way but not quite. The whole slipping process was fairly quick as not to burn the clutch. Just make sure you don't spin it right off the line. Once the car is moving a little go ahead and let the tires light up. The key for me was making sure the car hooked up in VTEC. I also learned that it was much better to spin out to much than to bog the car out of VTEC. My best et came when the tires hooked up at about 7k or so. My best 60' was with the tires grabbing around 8k or so but I anticipated the shift as the tach was coming back off redline so I shifted to second too soon ( at about 8.2k which hurt my time). Try to get as many runs in as possible. Practice makes perfect. I know I still have alot to learn and I need alot more practice. This is from my personal experience which I know is not even close to perfect, but I was able to obtain somewhat respectable times. Good luck.

with gtech controller, i got high trap speed (95mph) but crappy 1/4 miles time (mid 15's)
is it the gtech not accurate, or my start up is too crappy?
