Default My Sears Point In Car Footage

Everyone else put their footage up from this race a couple of weeks ago. But hey, I'm a little slow. If you're interested here it is.

http://homepage.mac.com/gkawan...5.mpg

Gansan captured it and is hosting it for me. I haven't seen it yet but it should be the first couple of laps of Sunday's race. You should see me screw up the start, then do some two wheel action off a berm, then go the wrong way at the fork in the road. Once I'm in last place I do much better though.

sweet vid. lol @ the scenic route

I'm assuming you went that way because you were going to go off and you wanted to do so on a paved surface, or did you actually go that way because you thought it was the track?

Also - does that silver car (civic?) have altezzas? did you guys make contact on that sharp right corner?

Its funny how much I recognize a track and know the layout simply from race car video games

Yeah, that's my gold B16A powered CRX.
There's a pic here if you want to see it http://www.alaniztechnologies.com

I got in some dirt and slid wide. Then I chose to take the escape road. It was going to be a tough slide to catch at those speeds out in the dirt. Plus there was so much traffic that there was a good chance I'd cause a big wreck if I shot across the track.
I did have contact with the wannabe altezza. But it wasn't too bad. I really don't like car contact though, even when it is minor.

I'm glad you liked the racing.

These might be the only circumstances in which you can call yourself "slow."

Jesus! Coming out of the esses, the 2nd lap I think after you did your gardening, you passed two cars. I was sitting here clenching every muscle as you were braking for the hairpin, thinking, "no way can he stay on the line, he must have had to let one of them inside" but you had already put so much room on them that you could get away with it. Great video! I love watching in-car from Sears Point.

Good to hear you will be back out there...

Good Luck.

And best of luck to Jeff, Glen, Andy and all the other SoCal racers.
Too bad my motor got blown up.. I wonder if it was fast.

That was mike's new engine. Like it? The timing was all messed up and he had no top end. To give you an idea, my used D15 sohc was keeping up on the long straights. Brian and I got ahead of him at the end. That may be the only time I beat the Bumblebee civic

Watching Andy pass you is fun. Make me want to put a B16 in mine... H1 with solid rear axle? Naaaa...

Somehow, we seemed to have gone thru the whole 24 pack of GB that night. Any talk of the TC weekend? You can get me back @ home if that would be more appropiate.
