SpeedVision World Challenge Cancelled!!!!
Thats right Race fans.
Speedvision(whooops I mean NASCARvision)
has ceased production of the series at the end of the season. I dont know who Knows this already or not but Road Atlanta is the last race that is supposed to be covered by Speedvision. No BUDGET
for next year they said---THIS SUCKS!!!
Cart and F1 are all that are being carried over.
Someone else might pick up the series next season(FINGERS CROSSED!!!)
If anyone knows Roger or Taz or any of the other teams and knows what is happening Next season--PLAESE post.
Thanks
Should have know it was to good to be true

I heard that F1 was moving to ABC/ESPN and that it may start as early as the USGP. Though not sure if that means it will not be on Speedvision at all or it will be on both.

A friend who works for speedVision told me today that the series was to be cancelled. Cart bought their way in for next season and F1 is being covered by Speedvision next season, just the USGP is being carried by ABC because they have better exposure, least that's what I've heard.
Nascar Has flashed a lot of cash in front of Fox!!!
Supposedly noon to 9 pm is going to be the Nascar time slot
but that is still up in the air.
I'll let you all know if I find anything out.

This is part true. Speedvision will continue its live coverage of every F1 race, however ABC will be doing the live broadcast of this year's USGP. I think it'll be funny to hear the ABC sports goons try to announce an F1 race...then it'll get annoying real quick.
Beyond next year though I'm not sure...

Yeah, the USGP will be live on ABC, and then immediately following it, SpeedVision will air their coverage tape delayed. I for one am going to wait and watch SV's coverage as I am sure ABC's will suck.
If that is true about the SVWC being cancelled then it totally sucks. Both the GT and the Touring Car races were the best to watch. Completely entertaining from start to finish. The German Touring Cars don't get any coverage, and then, the BTC went away, and now this.
And all so Speedvision can air more f_cking NASCAR!? What a waste.
Maybe we will never know if the Realtime boys were going to run RSX's next year...

World Challenge operates independently of Speedvision's coverage and contract. The World Challenge series has run since the 80's(Playboy/Escort) and will continue with or without Speedvision. I don't know anything about this rumor, but can assure you World Challenge will go on regardless. The only cars Honda is offering to North American race teams are the 02 Civic Si and the RSX-S, so expect to see PD and the RTR guys show up in one of those next year.
The touring cars series in the UK never died. Speedvision just lost the right to broadcast it when they which from the BTCC to Toca racing because they apparently where having money issues. So basically the racing is still going on abit more affordable now for independents now but basically the same as before just under a different name. I believe Speedvision just decided to air the Austriala races when they heard the BTCC was having money problems.
