Default OK. Complete admitance to NEWBIE

Ok, this is driving me nuts, and I hate to sound like a complete newb, but I have no choice.
I have seen every one talk about Boosting, NA, FI, ect, but most of the acronyms I do not know the meaning too. I have searched, but really do not know what to look for or where to look to get more insight on what stuff means.
If any one would care to offer assistance I would greatly appreciate it.
Just email me or something or post on here.
Once again. sorry for being such a newb, but i really want to learn, and do not know where to start.

Thanks again.

No problem man, everyone was a newbie at one point in time!

To answer the ones you have listed thus far.

FI = Forced Induction. This means any type of Turbocharger, Supercharger or Nitrous Oxide system. It is called forced induction because, by one means or another, you are forcing more air into the cylinder than it would normally get.

NA = Normally Aspirated (or Naturally Aspirated). This means you are not using any kind of Forced Induction.

Boost is the result of the forced induction caused by a turbocharger or supercharger, but is most often used in reference to the turbo. The Boost is the extra air pressure created by the turbo or supercharger.

Also, a supercharger is sometimes shortened to just SC.

If any of these are not clear or you want to ask more, post here, personal message me, or email me by clicking the little envelope in my signiature.

Note for those more experienced: If I have made any mistakes, PLEASE correct me.

ITR- Integra Type R
FI- Forced Induction
NA- Naturaly Asperated
BTW- By the way
WTF- What the F***

I know there's more, but I cannot come up with any more right now, I think I pretty much know most of them, so is there any others you can't figure out that I missed. I'll try to think of some more.

Thank you ...
Actually have lots of questions, but trying to search for the answers first before posting.
Mostly just have lots of how to questions....
Computers = no problem. (MIS / CS)
Cars = whole new world (that I am really starting to like)

Girlfriend said I am not allowed to spend any more money on a computer, so I figure might as well spend it on the car. She likes racing, but would never admit to it. Kinda hard to lie about it though, when she didnt want to leave the strip because she wanted to see more cars.
(off topic my bad)
thanks again...

Welcome to H-T.com! It's not a good sign, though, if your gf is controlling what you spend your money on

ok, now use them in a sentence.

i'm willing to ditch my USDM I/H/E on my ITR and can't decide between going JDM NA or FI w/ FMIC or NOS.

i'm bogging at WOT w/ my JG TB. TIA.

TIA - thanks in advance

Is LS1 sorta like the engine code for the Corvette engine? Like B16a or something. Also, which gen Mustang is the F-body referring to?
