Anyone use BFG drag radial for a daily driver?
Just wondering if anyone uses the BFG drag radials as there daily driver tire. I konw they won't last long and suck in rain, but I was just considering it for my next tire. Thanks,

I ran them a good 4000 miles.
Which is a whole lot for tires wtih 00 treadwear. ZERO. Heh.
Like stated, not everyone races at every stoplight.
Best money I've spent. 225/50/15 BFG G-Force Drag Radials
They actually hooked better towards the end of their lifespan. For obvious reasons.
Have the tires heat-cycled.
Make sure to get the car alligned.
Keep tire pressure reasonable(daily driving).
Lower it when you race, obviously.
Burning rubber with higher tire pressure absolutely KILLS these tires.
The ride can get pretty unstable at anything over 80MPH.
Be extra careful in the rain.
Just my experience.

These are the only tires I ever ran on my car. Daily driven, to school and to work, and everywhere else i went. On my new set up I will be running them again.
I never had any problems in the rain, but i never drove in a monsoon and I never tried to push the limits.
as for tread life, these tires perform @ their peak between 1k-3k miles. A brand new set does not hook as hard as a properly broken in set. After about 3k miles they are pretty much bald and i would continue to drive on them another 1k miles before I swapped them out. For me, every 4k miles resulted swapping them every 3 months. If u drive more then i do it would be pretty expensive.

Used them on my daily driver for a while but it sucks to have to buy new ones all the time. Even drove in the raien with them but you have to go slow but i dont rercomend it. I say you pick up some wheels and hav them mounted on so when you want to use them you can just swap them out.
i used the nitto drag radials on a daily basis for a period of time, cornering was a concern because of the soft walls. biggest problem was everything would stick to the tire and if i was to punch it id spray rocks and all the drivers behind me.
i can image the bfgs would be even stickier

LOL..I guess Im the exception...j/k
I would not recommend using them on the street, you will just waste your money.
Def. a
at the track. I was able to hit 2.0 60ft's with them. In comparison to other tires (2.2 60 ft and up).

Im gonna run them on my car on the street, although my car is far from a daily driver, prolly drive 75-100 miles a week at the most. its a pure recreation car. If i was gonna buy something just for the track i would just run slicks...

Seriously.
Seriously.
w/ 500+hp drag radials won't do you anybetter than regular street tires and I can attest to this personally. I burnt my 205x15's in less than a month. But granted I don't really take my car out on the street unless it's a special occassion
I now sport azenas because they last a little longer, cheaper, and quite frankly hook the same on the street (still a boat load of wheel spin). At the track however.. bfg's are a no brainer if you are running a dot tire.

Pfieffdog doesn't have to worry about his car making 500+whp

"Is it worth it?"
If you have a quick/fast Honda..
For weekend money races, .. yes.
Daily driving in dry, low distance driving circumstances .. yes.
Hook and book street tire challenges at the track .. yes.
Anything other than these.. will mean no.

It was worth it for me because I was the type of racer who would go to the street races on a tuesday, go to a car meet on a wednesday, go cruise w/ his friends on a thursday, track on friday, then another meet on saturday.
If i was at a meet and I got called out, (which happened alot) I wanted to be prepared to race. No bullshitting about "oh i don't have tires i'll race u next week."
If i get a call to go cruising, i don't wanna have to be like, "hey, lemme bolt on my tires in case i find a race" nope, i just hoped in my car and went.
Track on friday its the same thing, get off work, go eat, head to the track, race, then race an LS1 or two on the drive home.
On the way to school, to a friends house, wherever, if a mustang looked like bait, or a vette looked like a good run, i wanted to be ready.
so yeh, if u think that describes you in any way or form then yes, you absolutely need bfg's on ur daily driver. lol. I am not like that anymore I think I got it all out of my system. Now im more about racing at the track and im real picky about my street races. Ill still be rolling bfg's though, cause they are the ONLY way to put any kinda good power down.
