While pulling my engine out, I ran into the problem of getting the driver side axle out. Instead of just leaving the halfshaft on, and pulling the axle out by itself...I had to take the entire halfshaft and axle off together to finish getting the engine pulled.

Now that it's off the car, I can't get the axle apart from the halfshaft. Someone please advise!

 

I use a big pry bar. Some times you have to drive it in between the half shaft and the inner cv joint with a hammer to get them to seperate.

 

If I understand correctly, I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.
