Default Flywheel Question

Hey guys, im curious on what a "performance" flywheel would actually do. I have no clue on this subject so all information would be much appreciated.

it makes you rev quicker. better acceleration. well atleast thats what my clutchmasters flywheel did

a flywheel stores energy from the motor in the form of inertia.
less mass = less inertia = more likely to accept a change in motion
