Default So the SpeedPak Saga comes to an end...

For those that don't know what happened, read some of these posts...

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=649604
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=357048
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=259411

The short, short version is there was a deal between SpeedPak and 01SpecR...01SpecR never got the products, etc and SpeedPak did not have any tracking info...
01SpecR made a post about him scamming him etc...
Fast Forward to today...I've been in touch w/ both of them for a few weeks now trying to get this situation resolved. They made a deal w/ each other through me as a mediator in order to make things right.

I assume that 01SpecR is happy w/ his settlement and SpeedPak is happy to have this behind him.

I wanted everyone to know that SpeedPak made good on his word...I also asked that both of them chime in here w/ any responses they may have.

So, the lesson from this is a) research your buyers b) don't be so jumpy to call someone a scammer c)Honda Tech is doing its best to make this site a safe trading place

I second that. Honest guy, works hard to modify his car and sells his used stuff at reasonable prices.

Still sounds like Fais got his name unnecessarily smeared to me.
But I don't know all the details, so ... glad to see this is settled.

Why is this a topic on the board? I'm glad what ever happened was handled. But why is this one important enough to justify a "resolved thread" on the ITR forum.
How many other "resolved threads will now pop-up? It seems you are leaving the door open for "Scammed by" and "resolved" threads here with response like "Why was my thread locked, Jason did it"

Probably because Fais is a long-standing member of this forum and is well liked by a lot of people. We don't know the whole situation or whose fault it all was. We still don't, but . I'm happy to see this thread. Otherwise, EVERYTIME Fais posted there'd be at least one "F YOU SCAMMER!" reply.

In our little community here, we should constantly look over each other's shoulder!

This is exactly why it's here...Fais has been a long time member here and this situation was not a normal one....
Dave is absolutely right...since this incident, every time I've seen Speedpak post, there has been someone that called him a scammer...
I thought you guys would like to know that he kept his end of the deal in the end and wanted to make good on it. It goes to show that not everyone knows what is going on/went on w/ their deal and that he tried to make it right...

If the two of them want to make the rest of the story public, that's up to them....

I agree... and it's not right, there are just as many people here if not more that would standup for Fais, than this kid.

I'm glad that Fais' name has been cleared, but I still think that his reputation here has been scarred for life because of mis-communication or whatnot.

Oh I was unaware of the Scammer remarks.

I have known Fais as long if not longer than most here and am well aware of what type of person he is (stand up guy). Remember he is from Michigan not Cali

Either way I didn't think it was appropriate to bring up the issues again. JMO

Don't feel bad, he hasn't answered mine either, nor responded to this thread.

It was my suggestion to him to post this thread...I'm sure he's happy just knowing that HE did the right thing in this situation...This was for his own peace of mind, not anyone elses...However, I felt that it was necessary for the Honda Tech community to become aware of this situation b/c he IS a long standing member and I don't think he deserves to be labeled as a scammer, as that was not his intent.

Hey everyone,

Sorry it took so long for me to post up on this thread. I just want to thank Jason and all the other H-T peeps (you guys know who you are) for supporting me through this and everything else. I did want at least an announcement that this situation was taken care of, mainly because so many people in the other threads wanted to know what happened. Basically since he didnt recieve the parts and I have no proof to show I really did send them, we agreed on a monatary compensation to close the situation.

Didnt want to bring up something not appropriate here on the ITR board, just thought that since most of the drama surrounding this thing was on this board that the conclusion be too.

Thanks guys

fais
