Default springs + shocks

ok....so im looking to improve my suspension while lowering the car (naturaly)...im looking to get shocks/struts and springs (camber kit if neccesar)...im thinking of going w/ KGB AGX shocks. when it comes to the springs, im not sure. i was thinking of gettting espelir active super down (espelir is the most popular springs in JP)....but the only sight i can find them is at wholehyper.com....and they dont seem to be too reliable (ordered espelir exhaust, then they tell me a week later that the exhaust isnt available int eh US for "another month or so")...im thinking of going w/ eibach pro kits....smaller drop then sportline, but i hear that u dont need a camber kit w/ the smaller drop??? (im running konig 15" w/ yokohoma touring tires...nothing fancy)....can someone give me some feedback?

with prokit you dont even need to change the stock shock, it's not even recommended i think. it rides like a dream.

eibach>h&r

if u dont care about your wheel gap, eibach prokit is good. if u want less wheel gap get h&r sports or neuspeed sports. if u want the dropped look get h&r race/neuspeed race/eibach sportlines.

personally i have eibach prokits/tokico blue, and i want a lower drop. probably going to get h&r sports.

btw. every spring but the prokit, u might need a camber kit.

What about for autoXing?

are the prokits TOO soft?
209f 109r ---> something like that for the 5th gen accord

or go with h&r sports?
276f 276r ---> don't take my word (found at a archive post)

this is also with KYB AGX's

pro kits are more like 330 up front and 280 rear....had a friend of mine call eibach to oget the actual spring rates so he could match shocks better.
the pro kit is NOT a soft comfort spring its a firmer perofrmance spring, the sportline is the softer lower looks spring....

Wrong.

Here are some various spring rates for the integra (don't have an accord reference on hand but they are similar)
http://php.indiana.edu/~bchang....html

Notice the difference between prokit and sportlines:

front / rear

Eibach Prokit - DC2
331 lb/in 126 to 194 lb/in
Eibach Sportline - DC2
460 lb/in 174 to 257 lb/in

I have sportlines and I can definately tell you they aren't exactly soft. I was waaay oversprung before getting koni yellows. My friend has pro-kit springs on his civic with stock shocks and it rides fine, not too stiff and a good smooth ride, what you'd expect from softer springs.

Personally I'd go with the H&Rs if you'll be autox'ing.. their spring rates are more balanced than the eibach's and are definately higher.

eibach prokits - good performance, and minimum camber change. You should install a camber kit and good shocks though for the optimum.

However, the lower you go the better you'll handle as long as you can tune other factors (camber, etc).....however, you also have to have the right springs for that, and naturally, you can't ride around that low around most areas because you'll beat the crap out of your poor car if you do. So the eibach prokit or sportlines are the best way to go imho.

now the problem with the h&r's is the fear that it would ride on my bumpstops...a h-t member installed those on his 5th gen and it was devilishly low (mean *** look to it but i don't know about shock travel problems).

i don't know that many folk that run h&r on the autoX's and if they do, they are usually fairly lightweight cars.

i need me some shock travel...

anyways, anyone know any thing about these ESPELIR???

at 149 bucks, it's about the same price as the h&r. i need to research...

ok, heres the scoop on espelir. espelir is a 100% jdm company, who just recently allowed american corporations to sell their products...all of which most likely wont have the items in stock till around christmas time. espelir springs are one of the most popular in japan, and are used on many JGTC cars, and well as the majority of the japanese cars in Le Mans. espelir also makes a single canister, N1 style cat back exhaust (....mine is on backorder from japan till dec......) among other things
