Default eibach with stock shocks?

hi, i have a 98 civic ex coupe, i just just wondering how does the eibach sportline spring work with stock shocks. would i get blow shock? how are the performance of it? comparing H&R, tien, and eibach, which one is better?

I am also looking for a good camber kit for my car. I just need the front right? is the eibach alignment kit same as camber kit?

thx

i got sportlines on stock shocks just because i cant afford new shocks right now.... but it doesnt ride that bad and you dont need a camber kit just get a wheel alignment

aft. mkt. springs w/ stock shocks
that's not my thing.
I don't like springs, but if I did go w/ a spring set up, I'd go w/ H&R springs w/ Koni Yellows.
Personally, I'd go w/ some Tein coilovers though; probably just the superstreet as I am not taking my car to the ciruit or nothing.

i would get aftermarket shocks . It won't ride that well without them and you will eventually need them anyways. do it right the first time.

it'll ride like it has stock shocks but it'll be an improvement over what it is now and there will be an improvement when you replace them.

you don't have to replace the stocks for a 2" drop. you also won't need a camber kit.

My only suggestion would be to sacrafice the drop for quality and get the eibach pro-kits instead of the sportlines. the pro-kit's are 100x better. and more comfortable. (different rates at different loads) sporty when you need it and compfy when you want

Hey Jordan, I see your also from Alberta

I have the Eibach Sportline springs on my '00 si right now with stock shocks, for now everything seems to be fine. I've heard of lot's of people having them for upwards of a year with no problems. Soon enough you will want to replace them, I actually do need to get a camber kit installed an alignment wasn't enough to correct the problem.

looking at the price for eibach and koni yellow, they are around 700-800 bucks, but i just want to know what you guys think about the H&R cup kit? any good? stiffer than eibach? and the cup kit is for $740.

thx

keep in mind that the SI shocks have higher quality dampers than the other civ models.

You will be pushing it with the eibach sportlines. You *may* not need a camber kit, but it will be close.

Im useing the sportlines on my 00 si i like them, pretty good ride, they did set my camber off quite a bit but any spring will do that, just installed some skunk 2 controll arms and the ride is great now.

I have a 00 civic with pro-kits and stock shocks. My rears shocks are bottomed out, most likely from autocrossing. When I get some more money, I'm getting the fully adjustable koni coilovers. The one piece construction is alot better than the gc/koni setup.

the average lifespan of stock shocks with aftermarket springs is 6 months to a year.

the tein superstreet damper springs give you a 2" drop, but since they are coilovers, you can adjust the ride height.

i have a set of these in my room right now

they usualy will blow after that, unless your spring rates are close to stock.

which is more stiffer and better in performance, the H&R cup kit or the eibach with koni?

by the way, what is so good about the cup kit anyways beside matched shocks?

also have you guys heard of this h&r camber alignment bolt, i saw it on the h&r website, is it any good?

thx
