dam.... our cars aren't even in the 16'ss.....
man im really suprised... my friend has a manual ls with full n1 exhaust, he runs 15.7.......
17.3 and 15.7, thats the difference a manual tranny makes? yikes yikes yikes.....

Well, they aren't that slow. There's a guy on this board that has a gf with an bone stock auto LS with a NOS system that run's 14's...I dont' know if he was lying or not, but hey, it's hope!!!! hehe

yeah, that girl ran 16.5 in her LS auto, but even better my friend has a 50 shot in his teg with a couple boltons and he runs 15.3's-15.5's...both are teamflipspeed

A manual tranny can drop the quarter mile times by a second. A couple years ago when my car was a LS auto with I/H/E I ran a 16.7. Then I got the tranny swapped and ran a 15.9 Lost a full .8 of a second. And thats with only 2 weeks of learning manual driving.

Hey ANACC2NV, it is possible for an LS manual with just exh to run 15.7, he's my friend that did it. He's got time slips to back him up, and with intake and exh he ran a 15.6, it's all about skills!!! Not saying you don't have any, im sure everyone here has mad skills for different driving styles, don't under estimate the LS....Look below at my times, I've got slips and video's to back me up....JUST HAVE FAITH!!!

That's true. Driver skillz come into major play. I've seen couple BONE stock LS' running low 16's. Add some bolt-ons, better tires, and you'd be in the 15's no time... That's with practice of course...

When my car was auto, my best time was a 16.8. The light turned green, and I slammed the gas. Nothing else I could do.
After I got my 5-speed conversion, I went to a 15.9 with the same mods I had as an automatic.
Now, I got a clutch, cams, and a Drag Gen 3 turbo! Can't wait to see my times.

Hell, my 4dr 
tank runs low 16's (5spd, full interior, stereo, subs etc...) with MINOR bolt ons....and heavy rims....
Without an upgraded torque converter, auto will slow U down ! Can't you get an ECU (modified) for the LS ?

her new car is even slower than that and she ran the 16,5 a few times then the rest of the year she ran in the 17s,18s

my best time was a 16.3 @ 85mph(no muffler)...
last week, i did a 16.5 @ 83 mph with old oil, old spark plugs, no valve adjustment, and 35+ in the tires...oh well...

yep the Auto LS stock is basically a 17 second car. The auto tranny REALLY robs power and the gear ratios are very tall. I had a 94 LS sedan with AEM and the best I could do was 17.1 @ 80 mph. Needless to say I have moved on
