Default Camber Kit

Ok, since im getting some new coilovers soon, I'd figured I'd start looking at some camber kits. I did a search and only came up with a few things:

Ingalls front kit sucks
Skunks slip and don't keep adjustment
King is expensive and looks like it'll slip like the Skunks

There was another kit where it had a threaded A-Frame but i can't find it.

What do you all think would be the best to get? Just get the Skunks and rig something up so they don't move (I can machine a bracket to stop it from sliding maybe)?

As for the rear, i'm just going to get the ingalls since I don't like washers.

Get the skunk2 and replace the parts that slip (wai did this, others have too) and maybe reinforce like ed/sackdz did.

How low are you gonna drop the car? If it's 1" or less you don't need a camber kit. Just rotate regularly and the wear isn't bad at all.

****, maybe 1" from the ground

Not sure exactly how low, was going to get it to where I like the way it looks, then throw it on some scales and balance it out. I was just thinking ahead. I had my old GSR lowered and I only put rear camber kits and everything wore even. Just looking into all my options.

I stole Will's idea and installed some extra measures past the ordinary to keep the BJ's from slipping. Hopefully his **** will let the cat out of the bag so I can post a pic

sack-who wishes many happy BJs for everyone.

For the rear, you can always do the cheap washer trick.

IM Kengs and see if there are quality camber kits from JDM land. The U.S. camber kits always have to be messed with to make it work properly... which is pretty gay, if you ask me.

Don't most R's(at least the ones I have seen) have rear camber problems? Ie positive camber in the rear?

Positive camber looks = Same phenomenon witnessed by any one who has ever sat behind me and seen my desk, chair etc giving out from under me! Right?

Coyne- what rates did you order? Unless you totally slam the car you won't need kits, the negative camber is a good thing. Or are you looking for somthing to play with at the tracK??

I'm going with 9k front and 11k rear (90% sure).

As for the camber, I want something to play around with on the track eventually, but for now I want something that won't make my tires wear out fast and look like crap (ie 80% of lowered hondas around here).

All you need to do is align the toe. I'm gonna guess you'll be aroun -2* to -2.2* all around, and thats fine, no bunk tire wear from that, unless you don't set the toe...

Standard alignment can set the toe? Last time I went to acura for an alignment they did not even list the toe on the alignment sheet.

EDIT: I could be wrong, it might have been caster, I know it was missing something.

Toe is the only thing adjustable on the stock suspension.

Screw you guys I made it a goal a while ago to try and take my time and spell better and form better sentences (gramatics). I really wish I would have paid attention in english class instead of always sleeping off my hang over in the back of class.

There was a post in the RR forum about Skunk2 releasing a new or revised kit to eliminate *slip* issues, it was made by Ghettoracer I believe.. might wanna try diggin that up

I know for sure that Wai has simply replaced the suspect bolts/washers with no problems. I'd probably just do it that way, or will do it that way...

I currently do not run any camber kits, front or rear, and my car sits pretty low I ould say...not slammed, but pretty low. I say just get a quality alignment and rotate reglarly and you should be fine. That is if tire wear is all you're concerned with.

If you feel the need to test out certain camber settings than feel free to do so

FWIW, i plan on getting F/R camber kits when i get the JICs. I'd rather have some adjustability after spending $$$ on suspension and get it right the first time.
