Default Plastic moldings on my EK

I want to take all my Flat black plastic moldings off to get them painted to match the rest of the car. How are the molding connected to the door, front fender, and rear quater. Do i need to take them off from the inside, or do they just pop off?
Thanks in advance

They're clips. You could probably pull them out, but I would really suggest doing it from the inside.

Agreed, I snapped a couple of the clips when taking mine off.

Yeah I would recommend taking them off from the inside. The sheet metal of the body is not that strong, and you could dimple the metal around the clip if you were just prying them off from the outside.

Or better yet scratch it all up like I did (trying to pry with a screwdriver.)

take off from inside. it takes little longer but you wont bend or break them or risk pulling panels out of wack.
