since yesterday i noticed that when i'm on the interstate around 70-80 mph my car will kinda "jerk" every once in a while. but if i downshift and take off, it will just missfire worse until it just won't accelerate anymore. could this be related to my ignitor possibly, because my tach has been jumping around quite a bit for the past couple weeks

 

Your ignitor is shot. Replace it and you'll be fine. I've gone through 2 of them in 1 year.

check your cap and rotor out too. if they are real bad it will cause it to do that

only oem, aftermarket stuff sucks!
