Sounds to me like those are some pretty good numbers.

What kinda weight reduction you got going?

very good times for those mods. chop down your 60ft time and you'll be even lower.

still running stock gsr cams, stock head, stock cam gears?

if so, very impressive ...you've got a very strong motor under the hood of your car

here's the list of the weight savings:

-no back seats/seatbelts/trunk mat/cardboard
-no spare tire/jack
-no spoiler
-no airbags
-no antenna motor (s2k antenna)
-no rear wiper/motor
-replaced driver seat w/ sparco seat
-aftermarket intake manifold/header/exhaust/flywheel replaced heavy OEM pieces
-aftermarket non-power mirrors
-CF hood
-no cruise control (1.5lbs )

I'm pretty sure I could have dipped into the 14.2s, my 60ft times were bad and I haven't changed my spark plugs for about 15k miles. I think this proves that GSRs are capable of quick times with just "bolt ons", you just need a driver to guide it there.

My new goal is to install Hondata, get it tuned, get new plugs/oil change and BFGs, (maybe new header/exhaust if the price is right), then hopefully break into 13's with no internal work at all.

The car is stock internals, the head has never been removed, only the valve cover has been changed.

post a slip please 2.3 is an pretty bad 60 foot, while trapping 96mph? plus you are still using the stock p72 with that manifold? if anyone on here knows the stock gsr ecu plain sucks on the skunk/itr manifold you hit a pure dead spot before switching over vtec.

I'll try and get the slips, and post them up.

Here is the make up of my other runs though

14.5 @ 96mph, 2.3 60ft (launched too low, rev limiter in second)
14.7 @ 96mph, 2.6 60ft (horrible track conditions, tires too cold, had to let off throttle until 6k to get traction)

What tire pressure were you running with the azenis? Are they the cause for the so-so 60ft times?

1/4 mile wise the ECU isn't THAT bad, if you launch and shift the right way you should never be out of VTEC in the 1/4 mile.

I was running 22psi on the azenis, should have gone lower

Nice mph, nice times, good news is you still have room for imrovement on those 60 ft's so better times with more practice.

What kidn of burnout, tire pressure?

From what ive gathered the guys runing 2.0-2.1 on azenis are running about 18-20 psi, small burnout, just to clean off debris, and then its all driver.

Before every run I would spin the tires after dodgeing the water box to clear off all the debris, no burnout, just spin them for a sec or two. No water touched the tires except on the last run when the dumbass sparyed down the box as I was avoiding it. Tire pressure was a 22psi, should have been lower (shouldve, couldve, blah)

well sounds like you did everythig right, no water, few spins, and low psi, ...... what did you launch at, slipped or dumped?

Nice run, comparable to my 14.5 run in my pig of a 5th gen prelude. Also with just boltons. Bolivian POWER!

Nice times man. My gsr ran close to those time w/ a couple more mods. At the time mods were:
-AEM intake
-Comptech header
-Disconnected exhaust
-Comptech flywheel, stock clutch
-Comptech ECU
-Type R LSD

60'- 2.2
1/8 ET- 9.1
1/8 MPH- 76
1/4 ET- 14.2
1/4 MPH- 96

I had a little less weight reduction done than you and was running on 14" bald dunlop tires.
