Full Fuel System
I've always heard that you can't really get all the power out of your car unless you upgrade your fuel system too (fuel rails, pumps, regulators,...). I'm not even sure of all the different things you can get out there. But if I'm thinking right, there is no point in upgrading one component unless you upgrade all of them since they all work in unison... am I right in that thinking? And I heard that the best fuel pressure regulators were the ones hooked up to a digital device that adjusted the amount of spray automatically rather than manually adjusting them under the hodd. I was wondering... what is that digital device? Is that the V-AFC (i'm not sure what the V-AFC is). If someone could enlighten me a bit???
upgraded fuel systems arent really that necessary untill you are at significantly higher performance levels.....like extensive motor work that requires much more fuel than what is supplied stock.....ie: fast all motor setup or FI.
The apex VAFC is a piggyback computer which alters the fuel maps sent from the ECU to the injectors.....pretty much it changes the signal to your fuel injectors telling them to stay open for a longer, or shorter amount of time....depending on what you tell it to do...... this controls the amount of fuel entering your cylinder...hope that helps
