Im going to do a T-belt and h20 pump on my geeser, and was wondering how often you guys change your tensioner, a lot of the local honda guys say you dont have to since this is the second belt, im changing it at 122k, but this will be the third belt on there, and the tensioner hasnt been changed before, how long can they really go? and they are pretty pricey from the local stealership, ao any money i save is going towards a set of konis

 

if you spin the tensioner and you hear any sound comming from it
change it.
It tends to lock up and rip your timming belt!
