yeah.. but i'm not a ricer, ok? haha, i didn't lower the car like that to start with. i just bought the 95 hatch not too long ago, and it came like that. i guess i'll ride on these suckers for a lil' bit longer while i save up. ::sigh::

If you want HANDLING, then lowering the car is NOT the first step.
If your shocks are old or blown, the first step would be Koni yellows
The next step is a rear swaybar, or a matched set of front and rear swaybars.
Then, increase caster in the front, by swapping the front upper control arms left-to-right (this works on an EK, not sure about EG's), and maybe getting caster-increasing front LCA rear bushings from Superpro.
My money is where my mouth is.
On my EK, in order of largest improvement to smallest:
- Koni yellows
- ST swaybars
- swap upper UCAs
- ES shifter bushings (improves driving pleasure, not handling)
- H&R OE sport springs (with Koni height adjustability, (lowers car max 1.25")
- Superpro bushings in front LCA rear location
- ES steering rack bushings
Only the spring swap degraded ride quality, and the ride quality degradation was larger than the improvement in handling.

Tein S-Tech's are cheap and high quality. They work really well with aftermarket struts, so when you decide to do it right (I.E. not the way you're doing it now
), you'll have decent springs.
), you'll have decent springs.
for a good cheap setup get some ground control coil overs about 300 shipped and some kyb gr-2 struts about 275 shipped from summit racing.com thats what i have on my car and it rides kinda rough but thats what you get for having stiff springs with any coil over set.
Using stock shocks is bad, they will eventually blow. Blown shocks = bouncy ride. If you want to lowe ryour car the right way, you have to get the right springs as well as the right dampers.
