which should i get??
im just looking for a lowering spring that will get me a decent drop...i have only $200 for rite now
i was thinking or skunk2 lowering springs

I've never liked skunk2 shocks/springs.
The springrates aren't very consistent and are "meh" i guess.
I rode on H&R races on stock shocks on my old car and I was fine with the ride.
What kind of drop are you looking for?
Mild? Adjustable? dumped?

i would go with coilovers. for the same price you could probably find some used coilovers. or else just wait until you can afford some new ones. springs are set at the same height forever. with adjustable coilovers you can change the height whenever you want.

But you also have to get an alignment when you adjust the height.
I've never been a fan of coilovers simply for that fact. Also I never got around to adjusting the height.
I pretty much got it to where I liked it and left it there.

im just looking for a decent 2-3 inch drop im not going to be adjusting all the time...if i was going to get adjustables i might get skunk2 adjustable

Like I said, I've never read a good reviw about skunk2 shocks/coilovers from anyone who's had multiple setup's.
if you want 2-3 in. drop I'd suggest going with H&R sport/race.
Race is 2.5" F 2.3" rear. Sport is 1.8" front 1.6" R. I'm not 100% sure on the sports, but I'm positive on the race springs.
I Like the drop of the race, not too low, but enough to tuck tire and have that slammed look. i drove daily on it for almost two years and never had any major rubbing/scrubbing/scraping/curbing problems.

Not really, the rear can be fixed with 2 washers.
The front camber is much less to worry about as it's much less dramatic as the change in the rear.
A good alignment with your toe set to 0 will be fine. If you get really conscious of it or start wearing tires funny then get a front camber kit.

They're fine if you still want to have a lot of fender gap.
I have to look really hard to even tell a car is dropped on tein s. techs.
It's better than OEM.
With anything much lower than 2" it's a good idea to get an upgraded shock.
I recommend tokico illuminas or Koni yellows. both are a quality shock, well tested, and carry a lifetime warranty.
They're fine if you still want to have a lot of fender gap.

They're good if you plan on putting those on stock shocks or OE type replacements like GR2 or Tokico blues... Reason being they're soft springs. Barely stiffer than stock... Don't expect it to ride like it's on rails, but it'll get you that lowered look...

^^ Yep, it will be a tad lower, but will have factory-esque spring rates.
The lowered look without the lowered ride. IMO civic's still look like a 4x4 on s. techs.

yea cuz i dont want alot of gap at least 2 finger gaps so if anyone else comes in the car it wont scrape

I rode H&R races on stock shocks for about 6 months. It was fine. It all depends on the condition of your stockers now.
Just get the spring you want, then save for the shock you want.
Or be like me and do both at the same time, it's much more satisfying doing both at the same time, plus it's a lot less work than doing shocks/springs at seperate times.
I just rather not having to jack up my car more than I have to. Or taking suspension components apart more than I have to.
