Another great event: NASA + Vegas.
NASA SoPac region held an event in Las Vegas. It consisted of Spec Miatas, Shelby Cobras, American Iron (i believe), HPDE, and a bunch of stock car/trucks thingie mo-bobs (i forget the actually classing).
I ran in the HPDE 3/4 mix... had a blast. There were only like 12 cars in the two groups, but, it was a nice mix. The course is a good 2.4 miles, so it was long enough to keep enough space between everyone.
I watched the Shelby Cobra race and noticed that maybe, 2 out of the 40 or so that was there managed to keep it on the track the entire weekend... otherwise, it seemed like every lap, there was someone dropping a wheel or spinning.
The American Iron and the other classes that ran in those sessions was very cool to watch. I now understand why it's becoming a very popular class. Close racing.
The event was run very professionally and I always enjoy had it's run. Ryan F. almost makes the events run as smoothly as possible, plus, he's a great guy in person.
I met Andy Hope as well, very very down to earth guy. At any given point, you can catch him smiling... He also gave me a lot of helpful tips and ideas for the Honda-Challenge. If you ever get a chance to talk with him, do so, he's one of the nicest guys out there... and he's fast too...
Overall, on the LVMS Club course, I was turning 2.09s... I was happy about it, since I was running falken azenis and some soft soft springs.
Can't wait to the next one.

It was nice to meet you Kam. You were fast out there. I was smiling because I was happy to see some hybrids out there ripping it up. I was fine on Saturday watching at the American Iron guys go at it. But when you and Mike showed up on Sunday with your Hondas, I started jones’n real bad.
Hope you can come race with us soon,
Andy Hope,
I have some kind of funky pop up blocker and I don't know how to turn it off. If you're trying to IM me and I don't reply, that's why.

Try holding the shift button when you open a page? it might open?
and thanks for the compliments. Hopefully I'll be out there next year mixing-it up. Until then, I'll just have to get my w2w racing fix from karts.
