I dont run my car hard too often, but apparantly my car does this when i shift after running @ WOT....

B16A2, stock block, skunk2 stage II cams, p+P head, etc. The exhaust is a jdm itr 4-1, straight pipe, non-resonated exhaust piping to a mugen twin loop. Netted 189whp, 116tq.


So a month ago running it WOT from 2nd to 4th gear......I was told that a little spark came out of my exhaust.

The other day i took it just from 2nd the 3rd, shifting around 9000rpms....and a friend told me a 2-3inch blue flame shot out as i shifted....

Is this....normal w/ a NA B16, properly tuned via Hondata ? I thought really rich or motors running w/ alot of boost ever had this happen, so i'm really clueless as to why this seemingly ALWAYS happens between WOT shifts ?

I doubt its very common to get flames on a Mugen Twinloop.

 

this happened to me but i have a ls with no mods besides intake and exhaust, i was messing around with my safc and dumped more fuel in there then got on it from 1st to 2nd and my friend behind me was video tapeing and got a flame coming out of my exhaust, i had a stright through exhaust to nothing to a rip off N1 style muffler, i positive that its because idumbed mroe fuel in there
