Default What do you shift at?

just courious as to what people on here can take there cars up to, i personally would like to build a motor that would rev to 9500-10,000 rpms while still making power in my crx, boy that second gear would pull nice allthough i would most likely be making a scene doin somthen like that on the street,,,,,,,

power shift at 6 or so.. (don't let off the gas) wouldn't recommend this without practice on a motor with a true ignition cut rev limiter

That can be done, but youll go through rebuilds like nothing. The rings and bearing just werent made to handle abuse like that on a daily driven motor, and they cant be. On average, youll get about 5k miles out of a race only motor that sees 10k.

I shift between 3500-4000 when on the street, just cause I like to get as far as I can before stopping for more gas haha.. but when I hit vtec, I take it all the way to 8000 every time.. I dunno why I went to 6000 might as well go to 8..

Run 2.5" piping, kill the Cat, put 2 resonators on there, then follow it up with the N1. Works well. Actually, I've got the fireball, but it's about the same

5,750

Exactly 250 rpm after I stop making power... I don't think I count though, being my torque is 355 ft lbs @ 3,100

My friend in his '91 Si with the stock d16a6 shifts at like 6,500 or 7 I think.
