well i can tell you what not to do if that helps... I spray painted my bumper on my old civic with duplicolor and clearcoat and it was rough as hell.
at one time it looked alright, but it would get dirty EXTREMELY fast.. much faster than any other part of the car, but thats just a personal experience

how much are those spray guns?..what if you were busting a low budget do it yourselfer paint job..the one guy said duplicolor, but it came out rough..is that from how the spray pattern is from that brand of paint or the kit wasnt smooth enough?...what do you think about that new krylon fusion that can bond to plastic?i know it sounds funny but im just lookin for the best spray paint and as close as possible color match to a black crx..what do you people's think?

i love duplicolor because it sprays exactly like a spray gun, flat, not round like other spray paints. it minimizes drips and think stops. All the advice i can give is take yoru time, lots of THIN coats are better than a few thick coats. and take the time to sand out drips and imperfections. also do a really good job sanding from the get go, if u can get guide coat get it! its the ****!. other wise just use your touch PMme if you got any other questions

thers no way id spray pain ta major body part with duplicolor. get a decent spray gun for less than $200. hopefully you already have a compressor. get some ppg dbc paint, omni clear, and some ppg primer. sand down your bumper with 400 so its completely dull. then spray the primer. wait an hour. spray the paint. wait about 15 minutes and spray the clear. even slow strokes are the key. once done wetsand and buff.

duplicolor spray paint is the best you will find. practice on something first and go for it if you have to be cheap.

I used glossy black to paint my front bumber. I sanded it first with 600 sand paper. Then primered it and sand it agian. Painted a few coats of black then sand it with 800 to get the extra paint off. Then applied a couple layers of clear coat. Waited for a week then buff it. It looks really good if you do it right.

my friend picked up a paint gun at home depot for like $70, he painted his entire car and it came out pretty good. not sure if that's within your budget, but i think the difference in quality would be worth it. it's hard to match spraypaint with a factory paintjob.

Think I may go with you on this Shaun If you got a compressor, I think I can get a hold of an Airbrush...
