I'm facing a dilema - seaking opinions
Well if theft is your major concern, both cars (GSR and EG hybrid hatch) are susceptible to theft. After I get rid of my GSR, no more hondas for me.

-I am moving from my current house (where i keep my 98 GSR garaged)
-My new house will not have a garage, and the car will be off the road until summer
-I have 2 choices:
1. Keep the GSR and buy a car cover and a damned good security system
2. Sell the car, and buy a 92 civic hatch with a jdm b18c5 swap, in the summer
Currently the gsr is being built for auto-x, on an NA b18c1 motor... i love my car, and it is hard for me to part, but the idea of owning a type-r hatch is tempting...
Now the question I ask you guys is: What would you do?
Here is a pic of my current car: (30k miles on it - MINT)
</TD></TR></TABLE> first word of advice, take off the dohc vtec badge off the rear of your car...probably want to swap out the rims as well. Off the bat its easy to tell your car is a gsr..might wanna go wingless as well and shave up the holes. I would keep the car, get a good viper alarm along with the new viper GPS system, and keep a close eye on it.

I already have an ignition cut-off switch installed, and the alarm has another ignition cut-off, i'm getting that bar that holds onto your break pedal, and a car cover... Hopefully that would be enough...
But like I said, the hybrid hatch is damned tempting...
I'm going to be away at college, so it will be up to my parents to keep an eye on it...
Ahhh, this sucks - I hate theifs...</TD></TR></TABLE> Put the car in storage if you are going away.

You can keep your car in my driveway, I live a town over
I guard my teg with my life. I personally don't dig hatches one bit, but it's all up to the person. If it were up to me I would keep the gsr in a minute. Although suffolk is a good county to live in, stony brook college has a lot of kids from the city who steal cars, just watch out.

i say keep it. i had a 93 hatch with a b18c1 in it. and i traded for a gsr. i know its faster than the gsr but i needed the amentities ie power everything. i would say just store your car when you dont need it. over here i seen some places that store your car for 200+ a month. thats the self storage place,

do you want luxory or power? No other civics have the luxory or feel as the integra. So it really depends if you want to go fast, or keep things clean, luxorious, and semi fast. Also, take into consideration, whats going to cost you more money in the long run. One more thing is...insurance?
lots of things to think about. But if i were you, and i were into racing hardcore, then i'd get the hatch...but if racing is only a small part of your life, then keep the teg.

I would take Threatcon13's advice, just on a more realistic level. What you can do is find some LS/RS wheels for a few hundred with tires and put those on there, and take off the VTEC badge, it looks better without it...
631! Funny I've never seen you around. I grew up in Stony Brook and have been driving my car in the area since 1995! Ever see a really clean 4 door around?
Anyway, I would just keep your car. There is nothing like your own car that you have owned since day one. PLus, IMO, the integra looks like a lot more of a nice car than a civic. Plus, unless you are very mech inclined there is still alot of "little" things like BRAKES that you would have change over etc. If that kind of stuff turns you on, then go for it.
PS - Did you race a white e30 m3 lately?

I say keep it..and get a full coverage theft insurance for your car and your mods...Get a bad *** alarm..and a car cover...thats if the car is worth enough to you to do that much..if not..sell it and get ready for your future setup.

I have both 93 cx hatch with jdm r spec (b18c5 in US) and JDM RHD 94 integra.....The integra is a bad *** everyday car but in no way compares to the power of the hatch....the hatch runs 7.95's with just I/H/E on slicks in the 1/8th. I drove the hatch as my daily for the past 8 months back and forth everyday to college even and raced it on the weekends. After a while the hatch can get a little annoying...not being able to stomp on the gas without blowing the tires off, really really loud, and girl dig the integra a whole lot more. For the track the Hatch owns!!!!!! For everything else I would have to say the Integra is better! Keep the teg save up and build a hatch later!
If you sell your Teg, you'll be kicking yourself in the *** later on. Like the b18c5'd hatch guy said before, the fast hatch owns on the track, but do you really wanna feel like you're driving a go-kart all the time? Don't get me wrong, hatches are sweet, but don't sell your Teg. Just protect it. I'd never give up my Teg in fear that it'd be stolen. F*CK THIEVES
