What is your H22 idle speed fuel pressure?
How does it perform at 29 psi? No leaning out effects in high rpm? Are you running the factory NGK platinum plugs?
Thanks,

Paul:
With the vacuum hose of the fuel pressure regulator disconnected, pressure should be 33-40 psi. With the vacuum hose connected, pressure should be between 24-31 psi. Sounds really low for a 2.2 l DOHC engine, right? That is what came to my mind when i first found out this was stock fuel pressure psi at idle.
This is what my factory service manual says. I am running 36 psi and think (by the look of my spark plugs) that i might need to lower fuel pressure a bit. I do have slightly higher compression (11:1 Type S pistons).

yep, 29psi...with the stock h22 fuel regulator....I've heard mixed things that stock pressure should be 36-38psi or 28-30psi from different sources aswell but haven't actually checked the service manual. Mine runs fine at 29psi, no leaning out...i might even be a little too "rich!" as sometimes i get black smoke out of my exhaust when high rev shifting. I'm at 10.6:1 compression and about 5 degrees ignition timing over stock. Also, my a/f gauge reads about 2 led's back from the richest point when i punch it
oh yeah...I am running the stock Denso plugs from japan
