anyone using non-power brakes with the stock honda master?
just curious how it worked out and if the master bolts to the firewall where the booster once was.

With no brake booster you have to stand on the brakes at the end of the track. Plus it will getting some used to also. But it works fine as long as you only hook up the fronts.

So hooking the fronts to the master only and running the rear to a staging brake would work fine? BTW, does the master bolt up or is fabrication required?

Hi john,
You kinda dont want to slam on the brakes in a drag race car. One reason is the 70 30 rule 70% over the front wheels you could indo the car in be in a whole new world of trouble. Plus with carbon brakes they grab alot better than regular brakes so you definetley dont want the power assist becasue in a crash situation you can easily indo the car. just my opinion.

We used to run kennys on a stock master w/o the booster. I took the master apart and had to weld a nut on the end to screw the clevis into. If you take it all apart and look at it you can see what needs to be done.
