Default Track Times{first time out}

Well, I finally made it to Englishtown yesterday and managed to pull some decent times I think. First of all it was really cold and surprisingly enough there were a nice amount of people.... My times are as follows
First run ever, Azenis @ 35psi wheel hoping like a madman
60' :2.404
330:6.174
1/8 :9.295
MPH:78.91
1000:11.92
1/4 :14.272
MPH :98.28
So then I dropped the Azenis to about 25psi and tried slipping the clutch a little from about 5K
60' :2.243
330 :6.071
1/8 :9.210
MPH :79.52
1000:11.901
1/4 :14.199
MPH :97.82
I was pretty satisfied with this time considering I only heated the Azenis for about 3 seconds. My third run I ran a 14.397 @97.76. My mods are AEM CAI, Thermal catback, timing advanced , and took the seats out. I really feel that I can get a 14.00 or maybe even a 13.9 next time, but who knows. I had a good time last night and I think I will be going next friday as well.Oh yeah, I also have the stock clutch with 60K miles on it...

What time does the track open on fri? I'm going to be in NY next weekend and I plan on going (CT sucks. There is nothing fun to do in this state).

Isn't that kinda of too much? I thought the safest we could go with timing was 18 degrees? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Nice time! With slicks you can definitely touch 13s judging by your 60ft times.

I agree, i was always under the impression that obd2 will not allow the timing to be advanced that much..especially to 21-22 degrees, but then again i may be and am probably wrong.

13's are a ease with a strong motor and a good driver and a few bolt-ons....

haha i think its funny when people say "im a pretty good driver by the way". why do you say that? u beat alot of people on the street? hehe

i dunno man, just goto the track and find out. should be able to hit low 14's. and if ur a "good driver" maybe u will mid 13s

Like Downey said you pretty much just need to go to the track and find out. There are a good amount of small variables that will effect each run.

Whats up Opie, I was looking for you..There was a kid there with a CW and I thought it was you because he had Drag radials up front. But It was some kid running consistent 14.5's trying to figure out how I was faster .. I am thinkink of buying a header today, we are going on Friday again. Maybe I can manage to get that 60' down and pull a high [very high]13..Hope to see more H-T peoples there next week. I will PM you when the day gets closer
